Riverstone Resources Inc. announced the appointment of Mr. Ryan Torvik as Chief Financial Officer of the Company.
Mr. Torvik replaces Kerry Spong, who will continue to serve as Corporate Secretary of the Company.
Mr. Torvik is a Canadian Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan. He completed his articling with KPMG and brings with him experience in a number of industries as well as substantial International work. Most recently, Ryan served as a CFO in the Lundin Group of Companies.
Riverstone’s CEO, Michael D. McInnis commented, “We are happy to have Ryan join our senior management team. Ryan brings valuable Canadian and International experience which will assist greatly in progressing Riverstone’s exciting future”.
Subject to regulatory approval, the Board has granted Mr. Torvik an option to acquire up to 500,000 common shares in the capital of the Company at $0.64 for a five year period, in accordance with the Company’s Stock Option Plan.
