African Metals Announces Resignation of Eckhof and Appointment of Velletta as a Director |

African Metals Corporation (“AFR”) announced that Mr. Michael Velletta has been appointed as a director of the Company in place and stead of Mr. Klaus Eckhof, who has resigned.
Management wishes to thank Mr. Eckhof for his contributions to African Metals over the year.Mr. Michael Velletta is a practicing lawyer with over 20 years experience, and founder of Velletta & Company. Much of his experience is in Corporate and Commercial matters, with a focus on international minerals, oil and gas exploration, development and production. In addition to the private practice of law and acting as general counsel for several corporations, Mr. Velletta serves on the Board of Directors and various committees with Manas Petroleum Corporation, listed on the NASDAQ Bulletin Board, and PetroManas Energy Inc. listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. Mr. Velletta is a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators and is a governor of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia. In conjunction with his appointment, Mr. Velletta has been granted a stock option to buy up to 200,000 shares of the Company at $0.30 each for a period of five years. |
