REMA TIP TOP GmbH has received a comprehensive AEO F export certificate from the responsible Central Customs Office in Rosenheim, thus showing, as an export-oriented company, its dependability in the marketplace.
With increasing globalization, the international security situation is also being scrutinized more closely. The World Customs Organization (WCO) has therefore created a “Framework of Standards to Secure and Facilitate Global Trade” (SAFE). The document that has been developed creates worldwide framework conditions for modern and effective risk management in customs administration.
The AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) is the EU’s answer to the American C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism). The goal of both organizations is to secure the end-to-end supply chain of goods from manufacturer to end consumer. Individual governments are currently negotiating worldwide recognition of this status.
Three different certification levels exist: “Simplified Customs Procedures” (AEO C), “Security” (AEO S) and “Simplified/Secure Customs Procedures” (AEO F). REMA TIP TOP complies with all stipulations of custom and international trade law and has thus received the comprehensive “Simplified/Secure Customs Procedures” AEO F certificate. The certificate applies from August 11, 2010. It guarantees that goods arrive at REMA TIP TOP customers even more quickly and securely since the company is treated as a secure partner by Customs, is given prioritized inspection treatment and is confronted with fewer Customs inspections.
The REMA TIP TOP Company has yet again taken a further forwards-looking step in guaranteeing its continued operation as a dependable export partner in the global market.
