In view of the deterioration in the security situation in Côte d'Ivoire, operations at the Bonikro mine have been suspended as a precautionary measure and expatriates safely evacuated to Ghana.
A small team of company security personnel remain at the site to safeguard the plant and equipment. No threats have been made to the mine or its employees.
