GE Oil & Gas is pleased to announce the signing of a new frame agreement with E.ON Ruhrgas A.G., the largest distributor of gas in Germany and one of the leading gas companies in Europe.
The new agreement runs from April 22, 2010, for a three-year period. Under the new agreement, GE Oil & Gas will continue to supply E.ON Ruhrgas with new and replacement turbo-compression systems for gas transportation and storage projects worldwide. GE is so far the only oil and gas equipment manufacturing company currently to have a frame agreement with E.ON Ruhrgas. This frame agreement provides the standardization of contractual arrangements to streamline and simplify working processes, leading to reduced costs, shorter cycle times and optimized oil and gas production and will help to reduce the commercial negotiation phase, driving time and cost efficiencies. In the E.ON Group operating worldwide, E.ON Ruhrgas is responsible for pan-European gas business. In 2009, it supplied a total of 52.992 billion m³ of gas to its customers, who include local and regional energy suppliers, industrial companies and power stations. Its supply system comprises gas pipelines with an overall length of 11.600 km and underground storage facilities with a working gas capacity of more than 10 billion m³. |
